Will ‘Amsterdam’ Release on Netflix? Here Is Everything You Need to Know About the Movie Including Cast, Release Date, Trailer, and More
The latest period flick, Amsterdam, is the talk of the town for many reasons. The most important of them is its out-of-the-world cast. With Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, and John David Washington in lead roles, the cast of the movie gives the starry night painting a tough competition. Another reason behind the hype is the fact that Amsterdam was written and directed by David O. Russell.
David is known for giving us masterpieces such as Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and Joy. Despite the recent appalling controversies that he is embroiled in, there is no question that he is a movie-making genius. And Rusell’s three Oscar Award nominations are a testament to this fact. So it goes without saying that the audience has high expectations from Amsterdam.

What is Amsterdam about?
The flick is expected to be a great addition to the period crime genre. Furthermore, it will also consist of the based on true events disclaimer that is enough to make you sit back and watch the entire piece. Moreover, the movie has a cast so promising that we can go in to buy the tickets blindfolded. Rusell is a genius for putting Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, and John David Washington in a murder mystery set up in the 1930s.
The plot of this 80-million-dollar budget movie boils down to three friends, a doctor, a nurse, and a lawyer becoming murder suspects. The film is a more over-the-top depiction of the actual events that unfolded during the Cold War.
As if the star-studded main cast wasn’t enough, the list of supporting actors includes Taylor Swift, Chris Rock, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Rami Malek, and Ana Taylor Joy, among others. If the cast is anything to go by, the period murder film is a definite blockbuster.
