Considering the proportion in which The Tinder Swindler has been blowing up the past week, there is a very small chance you haven’t heard of the name. There are articles, videos, and numerous posts all over social media talking about Simon Leviev and the frauds he has committed. However, there is very little focus on the victims and how they are doing. Here’s what has happened to the victims of Simon Leviev, aka, The Tinder Swindler.

The Netflix documentary, The Tinder Swindler, focuses on three of Leviev’s victims. These are Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm and Ayleen Charlotte. But, those aren’t the only women who have been scammed at the hands of this 31-year-old. Leviev has been defrauding women ever since 2007. Despite having been caught multiple times, he still lives the same extravagant lifestyle, if we’re to believe his social media.

Did the release of The Tinder Swindler help these victims?

Although the Netflix documentary only focuses on three women, Simon has scammed many others out there. The total amount of money he has made by defrauding other women is a whopping $10 million. Naturally, many of these women are in debt.

Having gained mass popularity and support from viewers of The Tinder Swindler after the release of the documentary, Fjellhoy, Sjokolm and Charlotte have raised money using GoFundMe. As these women continue to struggle and fight for justice, they are clawing their way out of the debts Leviev has put them in, using aid from supporters.

Sjokolm and Fjelljoy were ripped off about 50,000 pounds (~$68,000) and 200,000 pounds (~$270,000), respectively. Their total goal is to raise $600,000, out of which they already have $75,000. While there are other fake GoFundMes raised to deceit this cause, as well, this philanthropy project seems to be gaining momentum, providing much-needed aid to these victims.

As for Leviev, The Tinder Swindler, he still remains a free man. He has deleted his social media after the documentary blew up, and was banned from Tinder and other dating apps. But, that is about it. Justice is yet to be served in this case.
