When One Song Sparked the Rumors of Kanye West Acting in Seth Rogen’s Christmas Comedy ‘The Night Before’
No one spotted Kanye West in the movie The Night Before. While the musician is usually caught up in controversies when not making music, he also makes appearances on TV occasionally. Although many of his recent appearances have been interviews on podcasts and shows, which usually end up offending people.

The Night Before was a 2015 comedy movie made with the direction of Jonathan Levine. A perfect watch for this holiday season, it stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, and Anthony Mackie in the lead. But for a long time around the release, there was a rumor whether Kanye West was a part of the movie as well.

So was Kanye West part of Seth Rogen’s The Night Before?
One may find a lot of similarities between The Night Before and The Hangover, in terms of comedy, with content full of reckless night adventures and thrills. On the release day (November 20, 2015), Bustle.com had revealed how, despite the rumors, Kanye West was not actually a part of the fun flick. The IMDB listing had apparently mentioned Ye in the list of cast, which turned out to be inaccurate.
Although it is understandable why fans seemed to have thought that he made an appearance. In one scene, the characters start playing on the riff piano as Chris begins singing the lyrics. Although Rogan came up with his own version of the song.

Runaway is West’s 2010 recorded song that was a super hit and got itself nominated for BET awards as well. Rogen seems to be experienced at it, as he had previously made a hilarious parodied version of Bound 2 before with close friend James Franco. Instead of Kim Kardashian, the 40-year-old Virgin actor himself showed off his body in a shirtless look.

Although it is highly unlikely that Rogen will try to work with Kanye West even in the near future. The Jewish actor was disappointed, yet not surprised by Kanye West’s anti-Semitic narrative. The Gold Digger singer’s “Deathcon 3 to Jewish people” tweet was followed by his praising Hitler publicly. Regardless, not only was he not part of The Night Before, but Hollywood has also already distanced itself from the rapper.
