Kanye West has made a lot of allies distance themselves from him in recent times. The singer is considered one of the best hip-hop artists today, although lately, it has been controversies taking a front seat. The likes of Jay- Z, Snoop Dogg, and Pusha T are some of the many artists that have turned on Ye due to his antisemitic and racist comments.
Ye’s music surrounds the idea of free thinking and capitalism, which is highly appreciated. But even that has taken a backseat since he started giving interviews. In a most recent one, he started defending and praising Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Ye’s former friend and music partner Pusha T, who used to share a good relationship with the artist has given his thoughts on it all.
What did Pusha T have to say about Kanye West and his recent controversies?
Pusha T got candid about his soured relationship with Kanye West. He has performed several songs with Ye including the superhit number Runaway. In an interview with XXL, Pusha T got candid about the end of his partnership with Ye’s G.O.O.D Music label. The artist left his position as the President of the label. Speaking to LA Times he said, “he’s not speaking to me now.” He also added that “I don’t know. It’s something that just sort of tells me he’s not well.” Apparently, the two have not spoken since Ye’s anti-Semitic comments surfaced.
The Mercy singer did sign his own 50/50 deal with Def Jam and started his Heir Wave Music Group. He became one of the many rappers who no longer affiliate with Kayne West. Meanwhile, the Gold Digger singer also lost his partnership with Adidas over the “Deathcon 3 to Jewish people” tweet. The rapper also came under scrutiny and heat when former employees of the brand came forward and shared all the ways he wronged them in the past.
