When Millie Bobby Brown Revealed What Went Behind the Fighting Scenes in ‘Enola Holmes’
Millie Bobby Brown went through some intense training for Enola Holmes. The 18-year-old is one of the youngest and most vibrant actresses in the industry today. Known for the role of Eleven in Stranger Things, she was only 12 when she started shooting in the Duffer Brothers’ creation. Her character in the series was considered mature for a teenager, which she surprisingly carried very well. The actress’s potential was recognized worldwide, gaining her new roles.

The British actress was chosen to play the lead in Enola Holmes. It is based on a story by Nancy Springer called The Enola Holmes Mysteries. Enola is Sherlock Holmes’s younger sister in the movie. The 2020 mystery thriller was a Harry Bradbeer direction where Enola tries to help a runaway lord using her sneaky skills and outsmart her elder detective brother.

Millie Bobby Brown had to take on some action sequences for her role in the period-based movie Enola Holmes so it is not far-fetched to think the actress went through some hardships during the shoot. In an interview with Vogue, the actress spoke about her experience shooting for the film. The interviewer asked about the level of training required for these intense sequences in the movie, especially wearing a corset and a ball gown. To which Brown replied, “I trained for a really long time with the stunt department, focusing on the choreography.”
Referring to her heavy ball gown, she shared how there were moments when wished to remove the giant wooden thing wrapped around her. However, she got used to it, eventually, as she trained and filmed her fight scenes. At the end of the day, she was comfortable to the point that she could bend her back and move her arms properly, without realizing she had the dress on.

The movie’s success led to the making of Enola Holmes 2 starring Millie Bobby Brown along with Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, and Louis Partridge. The sequel will release in November 2022, bringing to you a fast-paced thriller full of mystery, action scenes, and theatrical creations.
