British actress Millie Bobby Brown already has two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations and two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations at just 18 years old. The actress is a bundle of talents. Not to mention, she is also on the Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people and also the youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Over the years, Millie has dealt with rejection, hateful comments, and a lot of scary stuff.

The role that shot her to unfathomable popularity was as Eleven in the Netflix science fiction series Stranger Things. Eleven is the main character and possesses psychokinetic and telepathic abilities. She is so strong and fearless that she wasn’t afraid to fight Vecna head-on. Yes, the monster who likes to take people’s eyes off for no reason. So it goes without saying that Millie Bobby Brown’s standards of what ‘scary’ is are definitely high. Or are they?

Talks of the actress being way mature for her age are not new in town. The now heroine of Stranger Things had once even been rejected from a role for being too mature. So it definitely came as a huge shock when she revealed what she found scary. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the actress revealed three things that she finds scary. While we can all nod our heads at the first two, it is what she said at the end that had us shocked. Millie said she is scared of sharks, the dark, and drumrolls for this one because the third thing on the list is bungalows.

If you are confused, then don’t worry because Stephen Colbert was too. “Bungalows really freak me out,” Millie said and went on to explain that it was a house with no staircase. The fear comes from the realization that you are stuck on one level and there is no place to escape.

In defense of the stairs, Millie Bobby Brown had one more argument to present. Stairs come in handy when you have to let people know that you are annoyed. At this point, the actress may as well be running her stair fan page account, and we just don’t know. Meanwhile, years since the Colbert interview, the Enola Holmes actress admitted being scared of even walking down the street after the online bullying she faced over the years.
