Henry Cavill has stayed in the limelight since his casting in Superman. The role opened many doors of opportunities for him, leading to schedule overlapping. The actor began his next big role in Mission Impossible series just as he ended shooting Man of Steel. When an actor has to juggle so much between two projects and two different roles, they lead to goof-ups that ends up becoming a topic of laughter content for others, including The Lego series.

The Lego Movie 2 left no chance of jumping at their opportunity to pull Henry Cavill’s leg. The unique computer-animated 2019 comedy action film was directed by Mike Mitchell with Phil Lord being part of the screenplay and production. Based on Lego Construction Toys, this was a second part and a sequel to The Lego Movie. It cast Chris Pratt in the lead along with Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, and Chris Miller. The movie made a buzz for making a funny Superman reference, with Henry Cavill being the laughing stock for his goof-up between movie shootings.

How Henry Cavill was mocked in The Lego Movie 2

The Lego Movie 2 included some smart references in the movie that connected well with the Superman fan base. Henry Cavill’s mustache was one such reference in the movie. It showed the movie’s Batman character (Will Arnett) wearing a mustache sticker, which was mocking the Man of Steel actor.

Cavill had to re-shoot some of his scenes in DC’s Justice League just before the movie’s release. But by then, the shooting for Mission: Impossible-Fallout was in progress. He appeared as an antagonist in the movie alongside Tom Cruise, August Walker, donning a mustache to go with his suit-tie and long coat attire.

Cavill had grown a real mustache for this role. So when he had to shoot some of the Man of Steel sequences, the makers had to use CGI effects and make his mustache disappear to suit the clean-shaven look of Superman. People made a mass mockery of Cavill’s mustache situation. Even Ryan Reynolds didn’t spare him and mocked the mustache in an Instagram post.
