Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may now be on sour pages, but they once were married and very wealthy indeed. We all have our own ways to celebrate the big and small achievements of our loved ones, don’t we? And although you may have tried your best to come up with a unique gift idea, you may perhaps still not think of something as peculiar as Ye’s present to his ex-wife when she became a billionaire.

It is no news that the host of Keeping up with the Kardashians has long followed the trend Ryan Reynolds ensued and owns not one but two private equity firms: SKIMS and KKW beauty line. And although momager Kris Jenner had made it certain that all of her daughters own at least one successful trademark, it was only Kim Kardashian who was almost at hand to becoming a billionaire. She apparently signed a $200 million deal with Coty for a 20 percent stake in her KKW beauty line, securing the status referred to above. 

And her then-husband, the Yeezy brand owner, had the most idiosyncratic way to appreciate his then-wife’s achievement. No! It was not a diamond ring or some posh hot wheel, but a still life of veggies and flowers. Yes, you read it right. And uploading a picture of it on his Twitter, West proudly wrote, “So blessed this is still life / So I made you this still life.” The ‘Mercy’ singer further extended his gratitude toward her, acknowledging that he has withstood the harshest storms and now “God is shining on you and our family.”

Although the mother of four did not react to it directly, she had her own way of replying to Ye’s “we love you so much” message. She notably took to her Twitter account to share her eldest child, North West’s 7th birthday party pictures, captioning that god has showered blessings on her as well and she will forever be grateful for the family she has.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (now Ye) unfortunately divorced each other back in 2022. Their split was certainly high profile, and they had their share of struggles to divide the fortune. Furthermore, while Kim K has maintained her status as a billionaire, per Forbes 2022, her ex-husband’s many controversial remarks have robbed him off his status as the most wealthy hip-hop singer. Even though not wealthy as before, the rapper certainly gave an indifferent gift to his wife.
