The fascinating story of the animated series Arcane, which debuted in November 2021 was an instant sensation on Netflix. The best part of the show is that it is not just a backstory of league characters, but also an amazing story on its own. Season 1 focussed on the origin of its characters and plots with new twists and turns every now and then. The audience didn’t expect to go from a wildly different beginning to a shocking ending that made us teary. In the end, we could find ourselves sympathizing with every single character, wanting them all to achieve their goals.

Ever since it is natural for the fans to be eager to learn everything that there is to know about the show’s future. Thankfully, we have got some answers. Netflix confirmed that a new season of Arcane started production in November 2021 itself. In addition to that, as the release date inches closer, we get more updates about the show that we would like to share with you.

When can we expect Arcane to land on our screen?

According to Riot Games CEO Nicola Loron, the original series took six years to make. The creators of the show are working together with the creative wizards at Riot Fortish to deliver the second installment. However, in a tweet, he promised the wait for the next season wouldn’t be as long as season 1. Nevertheless, speeding up a six-year project would be easy so the wait is all we can do. Our very optimistic guess for the second season to land is late 2023 but we got to hold our horses even if it goes beyond that.

Producing an animation series takes a lot. Tons of initial work, being character models, finding voice actors, the environment, and the story will all take an ample amount of time and effort. On a good note, it will take them much less time to make new Zaun areas after having already made so many. We will likely revisit a lot of them, as well as multiple characters that will be reappearing. Hence, fans are all justifiably enthralled but we wish to be patient.

Season 1 had a unique structure where three episodes landed at once. We can expect season 2 to have the same delivery system whenever it lands. Sadly, as we are still a bit too far from the release, we don’t have a trailer yet. However, we got a short teaser announcement video that will just suffice for the moment.
