Arnold Schwarzenegger may be loved by many, but he is not a perfect man. The actor who got his global fame for working in Terminator has also been a source of inspiration for people around the world. Mostly for his fitness and physique, but also for his drama-free image which likely also made him a perfect political candidate at the later stage of his life.

The Austrian-born actor entered American politics in 2003, holding his term from 2003 to 2011 after having won the position for a second time. But with the MeToo moment making waves, the actor was swirled into the storm of women opening up on sexual misconduct, especially in the workplace. Schwarzenegger made up quickly for it with an apology, while sticking to his true self.

What did Arnold Schwarzenegger say in his apology for his misconduct?

Misconduct at the workplace, especially in Hollywood and politics, is known to be quite common. But women started speaking up against it, holding people in power accountable. In an interview with Men’s health, Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke up on the issue of his being accused.Looking back, I stepped over the line several times, and I was the first one to say sorry,” shared the actor.

Schwarzenegger took a course on misconduct to ensure safety from legal issues, as well as understanding the standards of behavior in general in regard to women.

However, he stood by his views on masculinity, saying, “I’m a guy. I would not change my view of who I am.” He went on to express how his mother was the first woman he loved and, therefore, respected all women. But also admitted to his mistake of referring to a political opponent as a “girly man.” But The Predator actor’s apology was not for sounding sexist, but for offending opponents that would likely be working with him later.
