Netflix’s Royal history saga has plunged the entire Buckingham Palace into its most dreaded controversies. The Crown has marvelously brought back all the 90s tragedies and infamous divorces once again into the media. What has acted like the fuel to the fire is the death of the Queen, which led to King Charles’s takeover as the King. However, hardly did anyone know that there is also a dark past associated with the hegemony, or so the show suggests.

Apart from what we witnessed through the closed doors of Buckingham, in the show, there was much more than what met our eye. In recent episodes, King Charles is allegedly shown to have come up with some infamous conspiracies that fed fat through his alleged greed for the throne. The writers of The Crown, set in 1991, have portrayed him as a black-hearted son who tried to overthrow his mother, while she was still breathing life.

The Crown: King Charles tried to overthrow late Queen Elizabeth

Even after possessing the right to succeed Queen Elizabeth II, the show displayed him engaging in some nasty games with his correspondents, which apparently also included the then-British Prime Minister. The internationally acclaimed drama series has attached this heavily negative attribute to the fictional Prince who is, in reality, the present monarch. Many people, even their subjects in the United Kingdom, did not have the slightest ideas about the same.

As one thing led to another, the documents related to this matter were allegedly hidden within the Palace. The Sunday Times newspapers wrote she has become “outdated” and the readings were kept away from the Queen. Nevertheless, the Queen got hold of it at last. The sudden breaking of the news into her space left her much disappointed in his favorite son. However, she had at last found the truth. In his final days, her husband Prince Phillip lent his emotional support to the Queen.

Unfortunately, the support did not last long as The Prince too left us all behind. Royal experts or some trusted sources, nonetheless, are yet to confirm the portrayal of such gospel truths. Former Prime Minister Sir John Major, however, has completely denied the facts. He takes utter disgust at the show and states all of it as just a “barrel load of malicious nonsense.” The political entity is always in the headlines for his rigid disagreement with the show for ages.
