What Is the One Royal Move Where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Have Outshined the Others?

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle have always had a tough time abiding by the Palace norms. As always claimed by the couple itself, they could not run lines along with a number of royal protocols and practices like the rest of them. Even after giving their best efforts, the couple failed to coexist with the same practices, except for one. 

Although there were a hundred instances where the Sussexs were not good in terms of following the family’s tradition, there was one out of them all, where they even outdid the late Queen and her late husband, Prince Philip. The couple has always been refreshingly close and open to the public. They have always kept their guards down before the world, unlike the other members of the royal family. 

Hence, doing a walkabout meeting and greeting the eager fans was never a hard ball to play for the Sussexes, or so reports woman&home. The tradition which was first started in the year 1970 by the Queen and Prince Phillip has come down to several generations. And Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have proved that there is no one better than them at this. Believed to be one of the Queen’s pioneering moves, the Sussexes have gladly followed in their footsteps to do it more efficiently. 

As affirmed by Meghan Markle herself, she has been a hugger. Hence, greeting the fans outside the Palace gates was more of a fortunate opportunity for them rather than a royal responsibility. The pair has been frequently seen hugging and clicking with the fans who keep showering their overwhelming love for the Sussexes.

Who did it better Prince Harry and Meghan Markle or Prince William and Kate Middleton?

Undoubtedly, the Prince and Princess of Wales have also been extremely generous with fans outside the gate. For instance, in contrast to what the Duchess had claimed once, Kate Middleton is always seen hugging and comforting little children on her way. 

On William’s part, although it was a rare gesture from him, he had once left fans genuinely emotional after having given a mourner a comforting hug at the Queen’s funeral. However, nothing comes close to the way Prince Harry and Meghan Markle mix with the crowd in “an even more personal touch” and gesture.
