Manifest follows a group of 191 people who board the Montego Air Flight 828 and time travel five and a half years in the future. All the while, society has moved on, presuming the passengers died in an accident.
The show depicts the change in human nature after such a shocking event, which leads to complex relationships and a lot of drama. There are some supernatural elements too, like the passengers having visions known as ‘callings’, which show them future disasters. The government tries to benefit from these ‘callings’.
The resurrection
Manifest Season 3 premiered on Netflix on 21st August. Thereafter, the show quickly amassed the views it deserved. Nielsen’s streaming ratings confirmed the belief that the acquired show was way ahead of Netflix’s “Clickbait” in the week of August 23-29.
The ratings were so high that Netflix immediately announced the show’s renewal for a fourth and final season. The fourth season of Netflix Manifest will contain 20 episodes. Netflix announced the renewal of the show on August 28.

While the fans couldn’t wait for the truth, the same mystery dragging out for so long with no payoff tired the viewers. Some fans even believed the subplots were derailing the show. Romance, which was supposed to be a sub-genre, started dominating the show.
Nevertheless, Manifest on Netflix found its target audience and is enjoying supreme success. Writer and Creator of Manifest, Jeff Rake, must be happy, for his story will come to an end in the spring of 2022.
