With the humongous pomp and show that King Charles’s coronation of the royals brought to the kingdom, some dire controversies we did not know could exist. Time and again various royal experts and critics, including publications as well, have raised the question about the impact of the coronation on the already crippled economy of the United Kingdom. While some have been outraged over the same, others have straight or tried to call off the ceremony. Nonetheless, it seems like the outrage was not for nothing.

The Guardian is on a new mission to tear open all the entrenched secrets of the Crown and its secrecy from the UK Sovereigns. Having termed the campaign as the Cost of the Crown, the publication in its latest issue disclosed how carefully the royal family safeguards its wealth and finances before the world. Following the taxes rebel, here is another that tells us more than what met the eye.

What do the royals hide from the public?

As the article by The Guardian goes, there is surprisingly no point of correspondence with the monarch, nor with the heir over matters of utmost importance. In fact, even the UK watchdog, the British parliament is strictly prohibited from criticizing the monarchy. They reportedly have no say in their conduct, no matter how disgraced, clearly hinting at Prince Andrew and his illegal charges. The cover-up of the royal sex scandal was apparently one of the biggest pieces of evidence of how it all works.

The same has been going on ever since the reign of Queen Mary. The judiciary started censoring royal scandals. Even “the royal wills are secured by judicial decree,” read the outlet which for the common public is completely plain and public.

How do they safeguard their monarchy?

Records related to the royal family will be treated in the same way as all other records. Although the late Queen Elizabeth did not have any issue with the declaration, the monarch created their own funding settlement, the Sovereigns grand to eventually level things out. The public funding at the grant made up the better part of her chunk as the Sovereign’s finances. It is basically referred to as the financial coup for the royals.
