Henry Cavill compares the shows in a smart way

Henry Cavill did an interview with NME, where he cleared up the misconception of The Witcher being influenced by Game of Thrones. He told the host that, first, he was very flattered by the comparison made. This was when The Witcher was a new release, and Game of Thrones was a brand.

According to him, the true comparison is made when the popularity of both shows is compared. And once this comparison is made, so end the similarities. “But that’s like saying someone is going to be the next Tom Cruise. No one is going to take Tom Cruise’s place,” he said, which is a fair and square comparison.
