Thanks to the decade-long journey of playing the greatest man in the world, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, we see Chris Evans as nothing but an utter personification of sublimity. But that all is about to change. The Avengers actor will embrace the dark side in the upcoming Netflix thriller, The Gray Man. And according to Russo Brothers, Evans will become the sociopath of the movie and not the hero. However, that change was not something that they had to force, but it was rather obvious.

The story of the upcoming Netflix Spy thriller (which may become a franchise) is centered on two amazing characters. And of course, two of the biggest actors of the generation are going to embrace both these roles. Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling will take up the roles of two super spies in this multi-million dollar project, both of which find themselves at two diverging ends of the spectrum. While talking to Den of Geek, Joe Russo revealed they didn’t even have to sell Chris Evans on the role, it was the other way around as Chris sold them. It was during the wrapping up of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game when they asked Evans about what he wanted to do next in his career. “You know what? I’m comfortable enough in my life and the work I’ve done that I’m just interested in taking risks moving forward, and I just want to play challenging characters,” replied Evans. Thus, they felt it was the right move to offer Chris the role of the sociopath and not the hero in The Gray Man.
