Sometimes it feels like the entire world has waged war against the American rapper, Kanye West. However, it seems he still has some genuine well-wishers whom he can count on even today. One may have a thousand negativities, but friends always cling on to the one quality that makes you stand out from the crowd. In West’s case, that one friend is Erykah Badu.

Erykah is an award-winning American singer and songwriter who is known for her gifted melodies and rhythms of today’s generation. Along with her never-ending success, she is best known for her ties with the Donda rapper. This became all the more evident when the star took to Instagram and expressed her support and gratefulness to Ye. Here is what she said.

Erykah Badu took to her Instagram handle and posted an image of the two supporting their dear friend, Riccardo Tisci. The singer happened to bump into Ye during London’s fashion week. She referred to the picture and said, “In essence… We all want the same thing…to be loved and to work with pride.”

She then offered him her thanks for being the voice of people and, most importantly, for his own. “I get it,” she added. According to her caption, there supposedly was an after-party at Burberry that she enjoyed. This supportive message from a friend has come at a time when West needs it the most. Also, this was not the first time she backed him up. Erykah had taken Ye’s stance on various other occasions as and when needed.

His recent dissociation with The Gap has come as more or less of a blow to him. There had been a big fiasco since Ye alleged that the company had been stealing his designs and holding meetings without him. He had been a shareholder of The Gap since June 2020, which made its official debut in 2021 as a fashion brand collaboration.
