Meghan Markle’s much-hyped podcast Archetypes came to an end on Tuesday with its final episode starring Andy Cohen, Judd Apatow, and Trevor Noah. The finale of Archetypes’ season one titled Man-ifesting A Cultural Shift, was completely different from the remaining 11 episodes. Since the beginning of the podcast, the fans saw Meghan Markle inviting women from various fields to talk about the labels that put boundaries on women.

However, the 12th episode completely belonged to three men. Apart from Andy Cohen, Trevor Noah, and Judd Apatow, Prince Harry is the only male to make an appearance in the podcast. In the opening episode of Archetypes’, the Duke made a sudden appearance to say a quick hello to the tennis sensation Serena Williams. During the finale, Meghan Markle reflected on what promoted her to invite three men to the show that speaks about the demonization and suffering of women.

Meghan Markle wanted to bring the perspective of men into the conversation

Meghan Markle credited her husband, Prince Harry, for making her invite Trevor Noah, Judd Apatow, and Andy Cohen to the podcast. The Duchess claimed that it was the royal prince who advised her to include men’s voices and thoughts in the podcast as well to make it more impactful. The former American actress revealed that Archetypes was a space purely dedicated to women so that they could share their experiences regarding different labels. However, the suggestion by her husband gave her a new perspective.

“If we really want to shift how we think about gender and the limiting, then we have to broaden the conversation. We have to include men in that conversation and certainly in that effort,” Meghan Markle mentioned during the episode.

Meanwhile, it is believed that the Duchess is already planning for the second season of Archetypes. Spotify has garnered a lot of new listeners via the podcast and they are keen on continuing the show next year as well. Notably, the Sussex royals have an $18 million three-year deal with the audio streaming platform where they need to produce different content.
