Was Kanye West the Inspiration Behind Netflix’s Glass Onion’s Evil Genius Miles Bron?
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery on Netflix became a global hit, garnering over 82.1 million views in only three days, which comes very close to the attention Kanye West garners on a daily basis. However, West and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery apart from their massive pop culture relevance do not have much in common. Or do they?

But while admiring the beautiful writing and direction of Rian Johnson, all brought to life with a $40 million budget, fans noticed a massive Kanye West poster. It was not just ANY poster because Ye, the genius rapper with numerous Grammys and a penchant for getting locked out of social media accounts, was dressed as a Prophet with a chalice in one hand and an ancient torch in another.

Where is the Kanye West poster in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery?
The mystery masterpiece is another brilliant movie with Benoit Blanc at the helm of affairs. Starring James Bond fame, Daniel Craig, the scenic movie was filmed on an island in Greece. It follows seven friends who are invited to a luxury getaway by their billionaire best friend or, as Benoit Blanc likes to call him, “vainglorious buffoon,” who wants them to solve the mystery of his murder.
A very crucial moment in the flick is when the entrepreneur passionately explains his revolutionary hydrogen source project that will blow away the whole world (all puns intended). And his friends are not having it. The idea itself is larger than life and has a lot of risks, but Bron is not backing out.
Why is there a giant Ye mural in the movie?
Placing a giant mural of Kanye West in this scene is a symbol of how the rapper himself comes up with farcical ideas and deems anyone who tries to raise questions a “silencer.”

On the other hand, Kanye West may be the obvious inspiration behind the character of Miles Bron. Few fans have pointed out it’s ironic that the movie would display a giant mural of Ye as a prophet when the rapper himself is under fire for his anti-Semitic views.

But considering how the movie was filmed in the summer of 2021, it’s unlikely that’s the case.

Benoit Blanc may have solved the mystery of Miles Bron being an absolute “witless jacka**” but fans are left with that of Kanye West. The giant mural in the movie could be calling out the former billionaire or drawing a similarity with the antagonist. Or just showcasing what we are guessing based on the amount of times he has called himself a “modern-day Prophet,” Ye’s favorite painting of himself.
