Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced strong criticism and opinionated backlashes for every step that they take forward. Whether it is launching a new business deal or going on a date together, Royal experts and commentators have had their personal say in everything. Even so, their latest back-and forth with the American Streaming giant has made quite a stir.
The latest update was that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reconsidering their upcoming docuseries, which was due in December. Although they have not confirmed anything themselves, sources close to them have said they had demanded some changes in the series. That, however, did not sit well with the scriptwriters who were already on the verge of completing the process. A few Royal Experts have once again expressed their view on the said fiasco.
Royal biographer slams Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, calling them ‘showbiz-y’
Regarding their repetitive discussions about their forthcoming series on Netflix, the couple had been persistent in top headlines. Commenting on the same, an expert remarked, they are doing so since they “want to be in the spotlight at any cost.” Another royal biographer, Penny Junor, added, “Harry and Meghan’s personality is not just Californian, it’s showbiz-y and celebrity.” She further drew a line stating members of the Royal family are not celebrities.
Adding to it was the author of Battle of Brothers, Robert Lacey, who recently put forth his views of the Sussexes. Focusing his key remarks on Meghan Markle, he held her responsible for the downfall of the Crown. He claims that Markle had an underlying agenda of creating a rift within the family. He confessed all of it in the ITV Documentary, Harry&William: What went wrong?
They also brought back the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview and its disparaging aftermath. Junor confessed that she was appalled by the publicity of the interview and shared how the confessions from the Sussexes shouldn’t have been made public and instead should have been addressed to in a psychiatrist’s office.
Amidst the daily dose of criticism from the royal experts and authors, the Sussexes look forward to accepting the Ripple of Hope Award later this year, while awaiting the release of Prince Harry’s memoir.
