Peaky Blinders season 6 has ended, and with it, the whole series. The finale is going to be in the talks for ages to come. A lot went down in the finale that needs to be covered in depth. But probably the most shocking thing in the last and final episode of Peaky Blinders was Finn Shelby’s betrayal of the family.

Yes! You heard it right the little Finn we all adored in the first season grows up to betray the family. While the episode does show his betrayal, it leaves the reasons unrevealed. Let us try to find out why he did what he did.

Peaky Blinders season 6: Why did Finn Betray?

The last episode was the best one in the whole season. Everything from the beginning of the first episode till the last was just to make way for this epic conclusion. After seeing Finn’s betrayal, we also understand why he was not seen in the whole season. But the question still remains why did he betray the family?

We all have our own theories as to why Finn betrayed the Peaky Blinders, but since the show doesn’t reveal much, we cannot say anything for sure. Many feel that Finn felt intimidated by the entry of Tommy’s illegitimate son Duke.

Seeing all the importance Duke was getting might be a reason why Finn felt unimportant in the family. This point can especially be highlighted by the fact that Finn says, “I will come for you.” Pay attention to how he only wants to come for Duke, not for Isiah (who was also present there) or Tommy, or any other member of the family.

While some say Finn was taken aback by all the proceedings and he might now have believed Duke. Isiah, his best friend, was there, who clearly was shocked to see Finn betray the family. So his betrayal might be deep-rooted than we think.

Finn and Duke showdown in the film?

We all know by now that a movie will conclude the whole series. That’s why a lot of things felt unfinished in the series.

We all do not know the actual plot of the film but Finn and Dukes‘ new rivalry will for sure make it to the screen. In the final moments, when Tommy is bidding farewell to the family, he goes and whispered something to Duke. Now Tommy is not the kind of man to waste his words.

Surely Tommy must’ve said him something that’ll help him in the future. We all just have to wait and see.
