Twitter Shouts “Calculated profit” In Unison to Support Meghan Markle Against Apology for Jeremy Clarkson’s Comments
The row over British Tabloid Mogul, Jeremy Clarkson, and his foul comments does not seem to stop. The Royal commentator who shook the internet with his vile and trenchant remarks at the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has fallen into a deeper quagmire of unending backlashes and hatred. Twitter has been fuming fire since The Sun crossed the line publishing the forbidden article. At this point, the apologies seem to have failed to make any difference.

Recently, Jeremy Clarkson took to Twitter to clarify the media’s misinterpretation of his controversial Tweet. Following the same, the publisher which had sheltered the bombshell also took to its official website to note down a detailed apology to the Duchess. Fans supported by more than 60 MPs compelled the Publisher’s executive editor to issue an apology and take action against the writer. The vicious column has been taken down from the internet, but Twitterati are once again vexed at the same.
Twitter up in arms for Meghan Markle as The Sun fails to issue a proper apology
On Friday evening, The Sun wrote that “Columnists’ opinions are their own, but as a Publisher, we realize that with free expression comes responsibility.” The team at the Sun clearly regrets the publication of the said article. They are thereby “sincerely sorry,” the publisher reads. Clarkson’s grotesque write-up has been thus removed from their website and all of their archives, too. Nevertheless, fans are up in arms calling the apology a ‘publicity stunt’ to gain more profits.
Many Twitterati have stormed the platform, calling out The Sun’s continuous nasty tactics to sell the tabloids. They have called its (non) apology a “calculated profit“ to appease the public. “No accountability,” Shola Mos-Shogbaminu wrote, affirming that the public will not be silenced again.
Another called out that the Publisher would prefer abandoning everything over apologizing to Meghan Markle by choice. “A true sign of the paper’s misogyny and racism,” it further added.
The Sun has also fallen prey to the wrath of the public for not issuing a straight apology to the Duchess herself.

For the unversed, earlier this week, the said news personality had launched a blistering attack on Meghan Markle filled with hatefully vulgar comments. After having openly claimed that he hates Meghan on many occasions, he had spoken his mind. The same backfired on him as he received worldwide condemnation and abhorrence over his words.
