“Tried cult deprogramming” – Former Yeezy Employee Reveals How Kanye West Created Toxic Workplace Environment
The German manufacturer, Adidas, partnered with the creative pioneer Kanye West back in 2013. The polarizing musician has given the brand top-selling designs and hiked product sales under the name Yeezy. However, their relationship began to deteriorate when controversies started hitting the headlines. People targeted the company because they maintained silence over his actions. The partnership ultimately ended when the rapper stepped over the line, dragging the brand into his mess.
Adidas cut ties with the influential fashion designer on October 25 and decided to halt West’s Yeezy ownership immediately. Meanwhile, that wave of intolerance started a bigger war that might not end well for the Donda singer. Three days ago, former staff members of the Yeezy brand sent an open letter sent to Adidas. Now another former employee reveals how Kanye West created a toxic workplace environment.

Former Yeezy staffers accuse Kanye West of creating a stressful environment
In a recent revelatory conversation with Rolling Stone, a former Yeezy employee opened up about the destructive working conditions. The report stated that several ex-employees came forward to share their experiences at Yeezy. Adidas is currently looking into the issue after staffers condemned them of ignoring Ye’s problematic behavior in the scandalous letter.
Addressing the workplace environment at Yeezy, a former staffer said she felt like she joined a cult. She revealed that she had to take therapy after leaving the company and even tried “cult deprogramming” to cope with that “toxic” place.

The ex-employee also stated that she always looked for an approval from Kanye West and everyone worked hard. However, it never happened, and they were just grinding down in all the negativity and abusive environment.
Meanwhile, Adidas has taken all the allegations into consideration and running an independent investigation to help employees. “We have been and continue to be actively engaged in conversations with our employees about the events that lead to our decision to end the partnership,” told the Adidas representative to Insider.
