One of the fan-favorite things about the entire Avengers series is the bond between Tony Stark and Peter Parker. While fans wanted to see more of the duo, their wish would come true. How would you feel if you could see Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland one more time, but not for the Avengers? The duo might appear together in a film based on a novel series that has never been adapted into a movie or TV series before.

Yes, it is true. There is a possibility of these two appearing together in a film based on the Parker novels by the late Donald E. Westlake. The Iron Man star is already confirmed to play the lead role in the Shane Black film Play Dirty. Now, the Spider-Man star is, as reported by Giant Freakin Robot, in consideration to play a role alongside RDJ.

Although there is not much information revealed about the character of Holland. But it will certainly not be like an innocent Peter Parker-type role from the Spider-Man series. Canonically, Spider-Man’s justice does not include too much cruelty and ruthlessness. However, if needed, he never hesitates to kill the criminal. It does not take much to go from mushy and innocent to a ruthless killer for Spider-Man.

If being cruel would complete the job, Spider-Man would do it without blinking his eyes. However, in the upcoming film, Play Dirty, the English actor could play one of the Parker crooks from the novel series who is not like his Spider-Man.

Which Parker crook Tom Holland can play in Play Dirty?

In Westlake’s novel series, there are many aged crooks who are not suitable for the innocent-looking actor. However, in the fifth novel, The Score, there is one character named Alan Groenfield. He is a handsome thief and women go crazy around him. The thief’s actual passion is theater. The handsome thief even replaces Parker in many novels.

If Holland gets in on the film, the character of Alan Groenfield might be perfect for him. Finally, Holland would be able to walk side by side with his Marvel mentor, Robert Downey Jr. aka Iron Man, who could return to MCU, is in the film, Play Dirty.
