How Kanye West showed his loyalty towards Consequence against Jennifer Lopez
It is no secret that Ye is not afraid to speak up. He did the same by standing up for fellow rapper Consequence. As per HipHopDX, Consequence and West were supposed to sing a verse of the song Get Right, which was a Jennifer Lopez song. But the latter’s team had some issues with the rapper, and thus they wanted only Kanye West to do it. “They didn’t want me to be on it, ” said the Jam singer. But Ye remained loyal to him and said that if Consequence is not going to do the verse, neither will he. He pulled the verse out and decided to use it for his own song later.

The verse featured in the song Gone, one of the best creations by Kanye West to date. Ye, Consequence, and Cam’ron worked together on the song that came out in 2005 in the album Late Registration. Their song Spaceship was also a major success for its relatability with the fans. As for Jennifer Lopez, she released Get Right without any guests.
Consequence has remained on good terms with Ye even today. Despite Ye’s controversial statements, the Hold On singer recently got mad at Pusha T for leaving G.O.O.D music. While he does not back West’s anti-Semitic opinions, he feels that Pusha T should have stuck together instead of leaving the label when trouble came knocking.
