Apparently, Hunter was staying with the teen and her family while they were dating. He further claimed that Brown performed some sexual acts for him when she was underage. This was just one example of bullying that the <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/stranger-things">Stranger Things</a> star has had to face, but she has always been quite vocal about bullying. Years back, she took the opportunity to speak about it during an awards acceptance speech.

<h2>A 14-year-old Millie Bobby Brown told haters to back off during her awards acceptance speech</h2>
At the 2018 MTV TV Awards, <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/millie-bobby-brown/">Millie Bobby Brown</a> won the award for Best Performance in a Show for Stranger Things. While it was a great night for the teen, she took it as an opportunity to speak her mind about cyberbullying. Although she couldn&#8217;t attend the award show, she sent a pre-recorded video message. 
In the clip, Brown sarcastically reminded her haters that they can keep quiet if they have nothing nice to say. She further encouraged other victims of bullying to DM her on Instagram if they need someone to remind them of their worth.

A slew of anti-gay memes attributed hateful comments about LGBTQ to her. The teen was bombarded with hateful comments. 
After several years of enduring death threats and cyberbullying, Brown checked into therapy. She took some time to heal and now <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-millie-bobby-brown-narrates-her-struggles-with-self-identity-and-being-too-mature/">she stays off social media for good</a>.
