Luckily we already know that the writing for the season is already finished, and finally, we now have updates about the production of the series.
January has been a grey month, to be honest. We had a lot to be happy about and celebrate, but the grip of the virus is still something we all are worried about. It was a rather beautiful start of the day when we woke up to some alluring images shared by The Witcher executive producer Steve Gaub. He shared a bunch of images that mark the beginning of the scouting process of locations where the upcoming season will be filmed. While we are not exactly aware of the location of this place, it is safe to guess it will be close to Longcross Studios.
We already talked about The Witcher‘s move away from Arborfield Studios; Longcross Studios is now home to the Netflix series. Hence, the production team will have to build everything up from scratch.
Check out some pictures Steve Gaub shared on his Instagram:

The thing about The Witcher season 3 is that we do not really know what is coming for us. But as Steve promises, “(we) definitely won’t be going smaller in season 3″.

When is the third season releasing?
Well, there is no confirmed release date for The Witcher season 3, and understandably so, because the shooting has not even started yet. As reported before, it is scheduled to begin in March 2022. While there are chances some changes may occur with the shoot, hopefully, we will get to see Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer in 2023. Meanwhile, we can continue streaming the previous seasons of the series.
