Production for the new season of Netflix’s The Witcher ended barely two days ago in South Wales. But the location shooting doesn’t stop in Wales since The Witcher Tour will be visiting another country!

The Witcher Season 3 production has now moved to Erfoud, Morocco, for the next week. The country is a first for The Witcher, but it has already hosted projects such as Star Wars, James Bond, and Game of Thrones.

While what sequences they plan to film in Morocco are still unclear, book fans will recognize one very relevant in-universe locale from Time of Contempt that would require Moroccan scenery: the Korath Desert.

We don’t know where they’ll be filming in Morocco yet, but we’ll find out soon enough. It will surely be interesting to see how the directors will include the Morrocan environment in the show.

Maybe we will get to see a new part of The Continent or an entirely different one. But one thing is for sure the new season brings a lot of excitement with it.

Season 3 of The Witcher is currently under production and will be released in 2023. The live-action prequel The Witcher: Blood Origin is presently in post-production following two weeks of reshoots.

Blood Origin is most likely to have a Christman 2022 release date. There is also news about a second The Witcher anime movie in the works. But the project is in its infancy and not many updates are known.
