The 12 days of Witchmas finally ended with the release of The Witcher Season 2. It was an experience as we got to know more about the stories of Ciri, along with that of Geralt, Yennefer, and many more. But it turns out that Netflix had yet another Witchmas present saved for us at the end of the season. We were treated to a teaser of The Witcher: Blood Origin at the end of episode 8 of season 2. Here is everything thing we know about it.

We have already fallen in love with the world of The Witcher, as the Netflix original has beautifully brought The Witcher books to life. With The Witcher: Blood Origin, we will dive into the history of The Continent. To be more precise, 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher. The prequel will feature the very first prototype witcher ever created, and it will also lead us to the Conjecture; when all the spheres merged into one.

The Witcher Season 2 was a joy ride, as we learned a lot about what is happening on The Continent. The politics of the kingdoms, Ciri and the truth about her bloodline, demons, and monsters from other worlds, and much more happened in season 2 of the show. But we know everything has a beginning, and so does the story of The Witcher and The Continent.

The Witcher: Blood Origin Teaser features 3 major elves (Michelle Yeoh, Laurence O’Fuarain, and Sophia Brown) as they rally their troops to join them on their mission. However, as the teaser also hints at a potential brawl between the three, we will probably see them clash swords in The Witcher prequel.
