The Gray Man was even more challenging than the highest grossing film of all time
No other director has the sort of exceptional body of work as The Russo Brothers have. From directing a sitcom to making one of the highest-grossing films of all time, there is nothing that the duo hasn’t done. However, in between all their projects, their newest Netflix Original, The Gray Man, turns out to be the most difficult.
In a new video for Still Watching Netflix, Anthony and Joe went behind the scene of The Gray Man and talked about its exceptional action sequences. The directing duo shares how the toll of The Gray Man was greater than any other project of theirs. In its entirety, the film included nine action sequences, with the most complex being the Prague tram scene.

The reason for the film being so difficult and taxing, according to Joe Russo, was because of the amount of preparation that went behind the scenes. He says that the whole crew had to train for hundreds of hours before each action sequence. Another reason adding to the complexity of The Gray Man was the director’s choice to shoot on location. Many scenes in the film were shot on location, just like the Prague chase scene.
Indeed the movie was not easy to make. However, the outcome certainly justifies and rewards all the struggle and work put in by the cast and crew. Many critics and fans love the action of the film even if they don’t find the story compelling.
