Back in 2002, at the Don’t Walk charity fashion event during college, Kate Middleton took over the stage by storm and Prince William’s hearts by the strings.

As the then-future princess walked down a fashion runway wearing a revealing outfit, Kate Middleton left Prince William at a loss for words. “Wow, Fergus, Kate’s hot!” remarked the Prince to one of his friends struck by glamor and beauty. Soon after the event, Prince William asked her out, and it all became history with their fairy-tale wedding at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

Mackie has confirmed and assured the audiences of presenting historical accuracy while bringing on the charismatic flair of the late Princess. She stated that the team is aware of the “enormous sensitivity” that comes along with portraying Princess Diana. Thus, the show shall look to contrast and balance light-hearted topics such as Prince William’s romance along with highly sensitive and pressing topics.
