The American superstar Jennifer Lawrence came like a storm nabbing roles in huge franchises like Hunger Games and X-Men. While her role as the shape-shifting mutant Mystique in the X-Men film series brought her enormous stardom. The 32-year-old star was the second artist to play the role of Mystique under director Bryan Singer. She reprised in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), and Dark Phoenix (2019). Jennifer Lawrence expresses her contempt for the former X-Men director
The Hollywood Reporter recently hosted a roundtable inviting several famous faces of the entertainment industry. Including Jennifer Lawrence, Michelle Yeoh, Michelle Williams, Claire Foy, Emma Corrin, and Danielle Deadwyler. During the open conversation, the Don’t Look Up star opened up about the time when she worked with Bryan Singer.
In the interview, the Oscar winner stated that she feels more comfortable working with female directors instead of male filmmakers. Moving forward to the toxic masculinity, she mentioned Singer, who has been condemned several times for his out of the lines action over the years.
“And I have seen… I mean, I’ve worked with Bryan Singer. I’ve seen emotional men, I’ve seen… the biggest hissy fits I’ve ever seen thrown on set,” revealed the X-Men alum.

According to The Direct, Superman Returns director has been the subject of various allegations of sexual assault back in the 90s. He is also accused of misbehaving with Jennifer Lawrence when they were working together.

However, as for now, the talented star has moved on from her traumatizing past, whereas the industry has become a more safe environment for female artists after these incidents. And people like Bryan Singer have been boycotted by Hollywood and didn’t get any project after 2019’s Dark Phoenix and FX’s The Gifted.
