‘Stranger Things’ Lands a Nomination at the 2023 Webby Awards and It Might Just Melt Your Heart
The story might not be over yet, but there is no person who disagrees that Stranger Things Season 4 blew away our minds. From tearing apart the Hawkins team to hijacking minds to blasting a chopper with a single stare, everything looked surreal. Not to mention, this season answered the biggest question about the past life of Eleven by diving into flashbacks. The characters left fans with infinite haunting memories that nobody would be able to forget even after the show ends. Taking into consideration the work all these people have done, the 2023 Webby Awards have listed them down for a nomination and it’s completely wholesome.
Billboard recently rolled out a highlighted list of nominations for music personalities at the 2023 Webby Awards. Under the category of Best Partnership or Collaboration, Features (Social), Stranger Things has been nominated alongside Metallica. Fortunately, the sacrifice of the fan-favorite character Eddie Munson seems to finally pay off. The audience can never forget the scene when the metalhead shredded on the guitar in Upside Down. For people who don’t know, the character played the instrumental version of the famous 1986 thrash metal classic Master of Puppets by Metallica.
Therefore, one can say that this iconic rock band has a big hand in making that scene unforgettable for viewers. Fans might get rejoiced that his death is finally getting recognition as most people thought that he was killed for potential shock value, which was certainly not a good reason.

There is no doubt that this song was the perfect choice for the culminating moments of the season. But the coolest part was that the actor actually played the tunes for most of the scene. The video shared on social media showed Quinn practicing the difficult guitar section. “We had this very, very talented guitarist called Aiden, I believe his name was, to come in to do the solo,” he stated in an interview.
After the success of season 4, the British star went to meet the originators of the song, which made him massively popular. During their first meeting, the band members praised him for doing justice to their song. Many of them revealed how their kids are fans of this show and even presented Joseph Quinn with a special guitar.
