A true maestro of the mysterious, Will Byers is the one character from Stranger Things that fans still can’t figure out. Confirming his theory, Ross Duffer tells Variety magazine that they hope that his emotional arc will “tie the whole series together.” Also addressing the character’s sexuality, he reveals how Will’s journey will not be about “just sexuality, it’s Will coming into his own as a young man.”
Transitioning from the introverted and protected one to one who owns his truth, Will’s journey will be one to behold. And one that fans can’t wait to set eyes on either. Perhaps the most amusing of all is the one that showcases a post-apocalyptic Will wielding a gun. Meanwhile, another suggests that he had telekinetic powers from the start which he shall now use to destroy all of Hawkins. Maybe when Ross Duffer talks about Will Byers’ coming-of-age journey, he was referring to him becoming the villain!
