In a podcast interview following Stranger Things Season 3 release, David revealed how Brown’s major inconveniences bother him a lot. He fretted that the dark side of social media might put a harmful impact on the actress who is too young for it. Here is what he had to say about the same. 

David Harbour expresses concern over faulty social media that surrounds Millie Bobby Brown

On an Amazon podcast with Dan Patrick, Harbour told how he was as worried about Millie as the Sheriff was for El. “Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young,” said the actor. He has known the current teen sensation ever since she was just a small child before any limelight. This established a deep attachment between the two that manifested in a father-daughter relationship, similar to what they share onscreen. 

Social media can be a very ugly place, especially for people who reach heights of success. The higher you rise, the harder some intoxicants try their level best to pull you down. Similar is the case with the 18-year-old blooming artist. Over the course of time, Millie has encountered innumerable scandals for her fame and glory. She has fallen victim to false social media allegations that have caused her distress. Harbour was quite upset and concerned over the problems that Brown faces. “I have a real protective feeling for her. I worry about her and the fame and all that she has to struggle with,” affirmed the actor. 

The 47-year-old had further discussed the powerful ending to Season 3 of Stranger Things. He also got overwhelmed while talking about Hopper’s emotional letter to Eleven. Recalling the auditions for the role of Jim up to the evolution of his character, he reminisced over his entire journey with Millie and all the other co-stars.
