Snubbed! The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust Website Axed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Following their departure from the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been facing a lot of backlash from the monarchists and crown servants. The Oprah Winfrey interview, Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, and Duke’s tell-all memoir only added fuel to the fire. Following the brutal attacks, the royal family is also indirectly giving it back to the Sussexes. In his first speech as monarch, King Charles snubbed his California-based son and sister-in-law. The couple has once again faced the heat and this time through the recently updated Commonwealth Trust website.

In 2018, when the website was established, the Duke of Sussex was named the president, with Meghan Markle, his deputy. Though the couple left the royal duties, there was no change in the website. However, it recently went under a makeover and there is no noticeable mention of the Sussexes.

The couple’s name is now placed on the website because of a staff member. Under the previous experience of Samantha Cohen, who was the secretary to TRH, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple’s name was found. But why did the couple got snubbed?

Why the website didn’t see the names of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry?

The ex-royals have been vocal about the difficulties they had with the royal family. However, Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir became the reason for their yet another snubbing. Royal commentators and experts previously opened up about the details that the Duke had shared in Spare. And now, those very details about the Commonwealth Trust became the reason for them getting axed from the new official website.

The Duke, in his memoir Spare, wrote about what exactly happened behind closed doors at the Trust. He also mentioned many key moments in the workings of the royals. However, the royal commentators took a swing at the Prince for writing the innermost details about the family. Even a psychiatrist talked about the memories being blurred and thus, some details may also vary. However, the Duke is firm in his statements about the details that he wrote in his memoir.
