Winter is back, but for certain people aboard the Big Alice, winter had never left. And honestly, we had started missing the Snowpiercer gang on our screens. However, fans can rejoice once again as the release date of Snowpiercer season 3 is out in public. So, let us look at the important details of the upcoming season.

Snowpiercer season 3 trailer and release date

TNT dropped the much-awaited trailer for season 3 on December 8 on YouTube. The description of the YouTube video read: “The earth is warming. Hope is rising. Snowpiercer Season 3 is coming 1/24.” 

Thus, fans can mark their calendars for January 24, 2022, as the latest season will arrive on this date. Fans have filled the comment section with love and excitement. However, the US fans of the show also expressed their disappointment over the show’s broadcasting scenario.

Where can you watch the show?

The Warner Brothers handle the distribution of the show in the US. Therefore, Netflix won’t stream the show in the US, and fans in the States will have to tune in to TNT. However, Netflix subscribers (excluding Netflix US) can enjoy the show, which will stream on Netflix on the following day of the premiere, i.e. January 25, 2022.

The cast aboard the train

Snowpiercer has had some heavy-hitters of the industry in its cast, and they will return in season 3 if they aren’t dead. Thus, fans will get to see Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, and Iddo Goldberg.

Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Steven Ogg, Sam Otto, and Sheila Vand will also return in supporting roles. And even though Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) walked out in the freezing snow, she will return for season 3. Archie Panjabi and Chelsea Harris will be the new entrants of season 3.

As we know, the Big Alice keeps moving perpetually and never stops. Thus, the residents of the 1033-carriage-long train never had time to get out. Fortunately, Melanie pursued her theory that the earth was warming up, which could be a ray of hope for the residents.

However, with the evil Mr. Wilford once again at the helm of the train, Layton will have to fight back for power. At the end of season 2, we also got a glimpse of the weather spoiling things for the last surviving humans.
