After the brothers’ rivalry, news headlines in the United Kingdom now have two old arch-nemeses on the top once again. There has been a lot of back and forth about the Duchess of Sussex’s age-old comment about Princess Kate Middleton and William’s wedding. As expected, the royal fans in the United Kingdom could not get along with it smoothly. Following the rampant coverage which tore the former Suits actress Meghan Markle and her statements into two, no one but a tabloid giant has spoken up for Wales. 

As Meghan Markle’s long-lost website recently surfaced on the internet, so did the backlashes from the other side which have now started to prove how her remarks are self-contradictory to what she had said in the past. 

Daily Mail takes a dig at Meghan Markle 

As the same ruffled many feathers in the UK, the article has now come up with pointers to show how Markle’s word lacks credibility due to her own statements. A recent issue from Femail brings it to our notice how Meghan Markle has been very ignorant of the facts related to the UK Sovereign on numerous occasions. Time and again the Duchess has herself admitted that she did not have much idea about the monarchy. Pressing on the same, she has apparently pushed Prince Harry to mention the same in his recent tell-all memoir, Spare. 

The Daily Mail’s Femail issue took a further dig at the Duchess of Sussex, calling her out for her limited knowledge of the royal family. As her 2014 blog on Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding on now-defunct lifestyle website, The Tig resurfaced, the tabloid called out for Meghan Markle not knowing about her husband’s estranged family.

While Prince Harry wrote in his memoir that his wife had “definitely not googled anything” about the royals before, the publication cast doubt on her supposed naivety. Femail used past interviews of the Sussexes before they met, along with statements from Markle’s friends, to present its case.

There were also mentions in the article about all the times that showed Markle’s lack of knowledge about the royal family, but that didn’t stop her from talking about Kate Middleton’s marriage in 2014. 

What did she say about Kate Middleton? 

For the unversed, the Duchess allegedly mentioned her indifference to Kate Middleton’s royal wedding. Distinguishing herself from her, she wrote that it was not what she dreamed of when she was in her younger years. “Little girls dream of being Princesses,” wrote the Duchess in her blog. As for her part, she was all about She-Ra, the Princess of Power. Markle basically called out Kate Middleton for getting married to the Prince of the UK without exploring further in her life. 

She also made it clear that getting tied up in the limbs by all the royal rules was not something she would sign up for.
