It has been six long years since we first saw the people of Hawkins trying to fight supernatural beings. And over the years, the actors of Stranger Things have grown in ways no one imagined. All of them have established great careers for themselves and understood their characters better. After playing their characters for four seasons, all actors know their roles better than anyone. However, Natalia Dyer credits some other reasons that have influenced her character over their years apart from herself.

Natalia Dyer reveals the true inspiration behind Nancy

The greatest thing about seeing the same actors playing the same roles over the years without being recast is that they understand the character better. They grow in their characters so much that they can now judge what’s better for their role than any other person.

However, when Natalia, in a recent press conference with Maya Hawke (Robin), Joe Keery (Steve), and the newcomer Joseph Quinn (Eddie), while talking about the inspiration behind her character.

She said, “She (Nancy) feels pretty natural to me now, but a lot of inspiration comes from the Duffer brothers and how they’ve written her character.”

Natalia then went on to commemorate the Duffer Brothers for creating an exceptional character in the series. She feels the brothers did a ‘lovely job’ in creating Nancy.

The Duffer Brothers certainly are a huge influence on the series. It is their vision of an 80s horror that has made the show immensely popular that it is today. But a lot of the credit goes to Natalia as well for playing Nancy.

Her character has indeed evolved over the years and now, in the most awaited fourth season, we will be seeing her again for sure.
