Scooby-Doo 2 Is Now Streaming on Netflix

We had always read about detectives like “Nancy Drew”, “The Famous Five” and “Hardy Boys”. But only Scooby-Doo depicted a group of friends unmasking monsters who were always human. Fans of the classic cartoon can enjoy Scooby-Doo 2 on Netflix, as the movie is now available to stream.

Scooby is also a reason the cartoon has such a huge fan following. Scooby-Doo 2 is a fun adventure movie and a terrific option, whether you’re looking for a nostalgia watch or something to enjoy with the family.

Plot and cast

An evil masked figure attempts to “unmask” the Mystery Inc. gang, but the gang must save Coolsville from an attack of past unmasked monsters conjured up by the evil masked figure. The gang must also face television journalist Heather Jasper-Howe (Alicia Silverstone), who is out to disprove their findings.

The lead cast comprises Shaggy (Matthew Lillard), Velma (Linda Cardellini), Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr.), and Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar). Neil Fanning has voiced the animated Scooby.

The villains’ cast comprises Scott McNeil as Evil Masked Figure, Dee Bradley Baker as the voice of Pterodactyl / Zombie / Red-Eyed Skeleton. Bob Papenbrook as the voice of Black Knight Ghost, and Michael Sorich as the voice of Tar Monster / Cotton Candy Glob. Terrence Stone/Dee Bradley Baker as the voice of 10,000 Volt Ghost, and Wally Wingert as the voice of Green-Eyed Skeleton.

Reception and rating

Of course, the target audience of this movie isn’t fully grown adults. The filmmakers did not want this to be a cinematic experience of any sort. A kid will definitely enjoy the goofy jokes and slapstick humor of the characters. However, adults will definitely enjoy the sight of their beloved cartoon characters in the live-action format. The action sequences and CGI were also good. The lead cast has done a superb job, especially Matthew Lillard as Shaggy.

The kids’ movie ended up with an IMDb rating of 5.1 and has received 22% on rotten tomatoes. In conclusion, we should not consider the ratings of this movie as the sole truth.
