Which song from this Ryan Reynolds starrer do writers want an Oscar nomination for?

The songs for the Oscars are not nominated yet, the songwriters of Spirited are ready with theirs. The songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul wholeheartedly want their song ‘Good Afternoon’ to be shortlisted for the 95th Academy Awards nominations.

They want the song to be nominated so that the stars of the film can perform on it. Paul told Variety earlier that watching Ferrel and Reynolds performing on the stage will be so much fun.

On the other hand, Ryan Reynolds said that he is not thinking about that. All he is thinking is that if the song gets nominated for the Oscars, the least he could do “is show up on that stage and embarrass myself.

How was Good Afternoon made?

Apparently, the 46-year-old actor will also be credited if the song gets nominated. According to Variety, he was inspired by the original Dickens novel for the song. It was Ryan Reynolds who proposed that it will sound like an insult if Scrooge would say “Good Afternoon” which will be perfect for the plot. And that is the only thing he asked the writers: to create a song about the good afternoon.
