His huge contribution to the entertainment industry has finally received recognition as he joined famous recipients, including Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, and Melissa McCarthy.
While his acceptance speech melted down the hearts of fans and the present audience. The Vancouver-born actor dedicated this award to his parents, Blake Lively, and his daughters. The Hollywood superstar looked enchanting, donning a monochromatic tailored three-piece suit paired with slick loafers. Ryan Reynolds took all the limelight, winning the People’s Icon Award this year on December 6. Apart from his heartwarming speech and stunning outfit, there was something that picked the attention of fans. Since the Free Guy star was seen wearing special handmade bracelets made by her daughters, James, 7, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3.
Fans saw the colorful beaded bracelets on his hand as he walked on the stage to receive his award. One of the bracelets seemed to say DAD except for the letter A was misplaced by V.
The 45-year-old actor did talk about this misplacement at the 2022 American Cinematheque Awards where he first showed off these bracelets. “My daughter spelled dad “D V D” which I think is weirdly a double entendre for my job,” Reynolds told Access Hollywood.
