Fans of the Netflix series revolving around the late British Monarch were waiting for the upcoming season of The Crown. And when it was announced that The Crown Season 5 will premiere on the 9th of November, 2022, we all pumped up our fists with joy. By ‘all’ we are referring to the thousands of viewers that are intrigued by how brilliantly Peter Morgan incorporates a backstory to the real-life royal events that we have only witnessed from far away and not the royal experts. The latter, on the other hand, are not happy with the season 5 premiere and decided to rope in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry into their opinions.

Since the couple announced their courtship and eventual marriage, royal enthusiasts and experts alike have had several opinions, all of which reached a peak during the Megxit and following the Queen’s demise. With The Crown releasing its explosive season 5 in November, the experts have a request for the Sussexes.

Royal experts want Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to drop their Netflix documentary

Just like anything that includes Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, their Netflix deal is also not running smoothly. The lovebirds turned many heads and received many congratulations for signing a multi-year and multi-million deal with Netflix in the September 2020.

The phenomenal collaboration promised documentaries, movies, and more content featuring Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor. However, Meghan Markle’s and Prince Harry’s deal with Netflix always seems to be in a tight spot. Once, the streaming giant was not happy with the couple attending the late Queen’s Jubilee without offering any content. On another occasion, Harry was not very happy with the platform interfering with his releasing a memoir about his mother.

And now, after the announcement of The Crown Season 5 release date, Robert Jobson, a royal expert, is calling out Netflix and the Sussexes.

His concern lies in the fact that a majority of people consider the fictional Netflix series to be a reality. “It will cause untold damage to our King and Queen Consort around the world early in his reign,” said Jobson on Twitter. For the unversed, season 5 of the show will follow the infamous divorce of King Charles III and late Princess Diana, along with the latter’s explosive 1995 interview. Given the nature of the topic, Royal experts are urging the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to walk away from the Netflix deal to show “some loyalty.”
