Royal Expert Says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Upset Over HRH Titles for Their Children
Following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, people are expecting a reconciliation between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, things are expected to get worse. It is learned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not happy with their children Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor not receiving the titles of His and Her Royal Highness.
As an heir to his 96-year-old mother, King Charles III has taken the throne. With their grandfather as the new monarch, both Archie and Lilibet will be called prince and princess. However, they have been stripped from their right to be called His and Her Royal Highness. When Queen Elizabeth was the sovereign, Harry and Meghan’s children were referred to as Master and Miss. What is the reason behind King Charles III not assigning HRH titles to his grandchildren?

Harry and Meghan are furious with King Charles III’s decision
Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals in 2020. The couple decided to make a life outside the House of Windsor in California. It was not a peaceful exit as time and again the couple has levied accusations against the Royal family of discrimination and mistreatment. Since Archie and Lilibet will also not be working royals, King Charles III decided against giving them the titles of His and Her Royal Highness.
Following the Queen’s demise, there were week-long negotiations over the titles for the monarch’s California-based children. And the end result has left the Duke and Duchess of Sussex upset and furious over the former’s father.

Speaking about the fiasco, royal expert Phil Dampier reckoned that Harry and Meghan should be happy with the classic compromise offered to them by the House of Windsor. Dampier believes that the situation could have been a lot worse for them and their children following Queen Elizabeth’s demise. Thus, they should be happy with whatever is being offered to them.
“They will not be working royals, so it’s quite right they shouldn’t have titles. Lots of people think Harry and Meghan themselves should lose their titles, so I think they should just accept this compromise and be grateful,” Dampier said, as quoted by Dailymail.
