Henry Cavill entered a contract with Netflix to star in the adaptation of The Witcher in 2018

Henry Cavill was already a star before he joined Netflix’s The Witcher. He had already proven himself as the new generation of Superman having starred in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. He starred in plenty of other projects even in action comedies like Guy Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. He delivered some sleek action with some laughs. Soon after he joined Tom Cruise’s vehicle Mission Impossible: Fallout.

The news was positively received. The actor was himself a confessed fan of the original novels that the series is based on. After nearly three seasons of Cavill perfectly embodying the role of the monster hunter, he is finally handing over the torch to Liam Hemsworth.
