Resembling Bubble, Drifting Home Trailer by Netflix Hints at a Huge Mystery Hidden Within

Netflix is the pioneer among all streaming services in bringing fantastical worlds to audiences. Over the years, some Netflix Originals have truly amazed viewers by transcending them to places they could only dream of. And now, with another new movie Drifting Home, Netflix is yet again erasing boundaries between imagination and reality.

The new anime movie will soon be dawning on our screens, so let us take a look at what Netflix has in store for us with Drifting Home.

Netflix brings a new story of friendship with Drifting Home

The official trailer for Studio Colorido’s next coming-of-age fantasy anime film, Drifting Home, is here. On Friday, September 16, it will be accessible for streaming.

The film, which you can watch below, continues to show the challenges of six children who get mysteriously stuck in an alternate universe in which their apartment building floats in the middle of the ocean.

Mutsumi Tamura (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean), Asami Seto (Jujutsu Kaisen), Daiki Yamashita (My Hero Academia), Yumiko Kobayashi (Re: Zero Starting Life in Another World), Inori Minase (The Quintessential Quintuplets), and Kana Hanazawa (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) provide their voices to Drifting Home.

The visuals resemble The Bubble

Earlier this year, Netflix gave the world another visual masterpiece in the form of the anime film Bubble. The futuristic film was set in a dystopian Tokyo that was surrounded by bubbles.

While Bubble was by the famous Wit Studio and Studio Colorido brings us Drignting Home, both movies actually are a lot similar in their visuals. Both films have a similar color coding with breathtaking scenery set in another world.

After Bubbe received great reviews, it is safe to say that Drifting Home shall also amaze viewers.

A huge mystery is residing in the film

Even though the movie seems to be a simple coming-of-age story of a group of friends who try to survive in an alien world, it is not all the film has to offer.

There is a huge mystery as to how and why the children end up in a world full of oceans. Even the trailer for the movie ends with the card, “What is the secret hidden in the apartment complex?”
