It has also helped her “conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights,” wrote the Wildest Dreams singer. Her move to cast a trans model as her love interest in her latest video has raised quite a few eyebrows, as it flouts the traditional format of music videos and their casting.

While speaking to Elle magazine, the trans model revealed that he had no intention of epitomizing the LGBTQ community or stand on its behalf. However, he is forever grateful to have a chance to express his skills as one of them on a platform “as big as Taylor Swift’s.”

The music video which was released three days ago is currently trending at #29 for music on YouTube. ‘Lavender Haze’ has already reached above 10 million views, with the number of likes standing at 0.1 million worldwide.
