We may be used to seeing the X-Men star in the role of Wolverine, but he also makes an excellent part in musicals. Currently, Hugh Jackman is in the news for his return as Logan in Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool 3.

Reynolds has been approaching Jackman for the latter’s comeback for a long time. Though before their announcement, the Free Guy turned up to show his support for the Australian actor’s other talents, who have mastered not only acting on screen but live performances as well. The musical Music Man indeed opened with a grand celebration, which was star-studded and full of paparazzi.

Hugh Jackman had a lot of supporters at the opening of his musical Music Man on Broadway. The star-studded event saw the attendance of Ryan Reynolds, wife and actress Blake Lively, and Anne Hathaway. Adding to the list at The Winter Garden theater were former New York mayors Eric Adams and Michael Bloomberg. While Jackman was busy, Reynolds and Lively clicked with the actor’s wife and actress Deborra-Lee Furness. Celebrities like Andy Cohen, Cynthia Nixon, and Mariska Hargitay also blessed the event with their presence.

The highly anticipated return of the musical was first performed in December 2021. But just days after the previews, both Jackman and his musical co-star and lead Sutton Foster tested positive for coronavirus. However, they then recovered successfully to return to their performances. The Music Man shows Hugh Jackman playing the lead role of Harold Hill, who intends to con people. But while on his intentions, he is also trying to impress the beautiful librarian Marian, who is played by Sutton Foster.

Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds is also working on his own musical Imaginary Friends, which is being directed by John Krasinski. Since it is his first musical, the Free Guy actor even took advice from Hugh Jackman for acing the role. Apparently, it helped the Green Lantern actor prepare very well. Their movie Deadpool 3 is also set to release in the same year, that is 8 November 2024.
