Zack Snyder may not return to making Man of Steel, but he has other projects to unleash his talent. The director, known for his visual skills and source-based creations, is ready to hit the limelight again. While it has been a long wait, the crew of his latest project assures that the wait will be worth it.

His next project is again in his expertise genre of fantasy flick, named Rebel Moon. Snyder wrote the space opera along with Kurt Johnstad and it will have two R-rated parts. Shay Hatten, who also wrote the movie, revealed how this flick is set to raise the bar in comparison to previous Snyder movies.

How Zack Snyder will make a dashing comeback with Rebel Moon

A teaser trailer of Rebel Moon dropped on YouTube a couple of months ago. This will be Snyder’s first major release after Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Now, Shay Hatten recently appeared for an interview with Collider. He has written movies like John Wick 3 and 4, Army of The Dead, and Army of Thieves, etc. Talking about Snyder’s work for the flick he said that the director is, “really getting to unleash his visual imagination to the fullest extent.” 

The movie is currently in its post-production stage, with Snyder working on it to cut and keep scenes. Hatten has seen bits and pieces of the progress and is glad to be working with the famed director on this project. While the first part will release by the year’s end, the second one has already been green-lit for production. The fantasy flicks will add to the long list of Netflix originals.

Details of the upcoming sci-fi Rebel Moon

Rebel Moon will star Ray Fisher, Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Jena Malone, etc. In somewhat resemblance to many intergalactic movies, this one also focuses on a colony on the verge of extinction. The civilians must seek help from the outside to fight a tyrannical leader, which takes them on an action-filled mystical journey. The first part of Rebel Moon is set to drop on Netflix on December 22, 2023. Whether Zack Snyder’s work lives up to the hype, we will know upon watching the movie.
