Show producer Shawn Levy has brought out big guns as he looks to wrap up his collaboration with the Duffer Brothers on a high. Levy has always remained focal on the show, from pitching it to Netflix to producing and directing it. As Season 4 of the show drew to a close, fans are eagerly awaiting the final chapter of the Millie Bobby Brown starrer. In an interview with Total Films magazine via Games Radar, Levy broke the news on the expectations for the fifth and final season of the show. “It’s major, major, cinematic storytelling,” claimed the producer.
The Free Guy director spoke of the massive scale of the upcoming showdown. He teased that Season 5 will be much bigger and more expansive than its predecessor in terms of story and depth. Levy made it clear that the final season of the show is slated to be “as big as any of the biggest movies.” The comments of the director have amped up the fanbase. Moreover, Season 5 will mark the final showdown between Eleven and Vecna and seal the fates of the current characters.
The anticipation for both of Levy’s projects is limitless. However, fans also have to pay heed to the fact that there is an unprecedented obstacle lying in their way.

It is no secret that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA twin strikes have jolted the Hollywood studios. Many big-budget outings are facing delays and massive run-ups to their course of schedule. Unfortunately, Shawn Levy’s Deadpool 3 and Stranger Things Season 5 also find their names among them. While the Marvel juggernaut keeps on expanding its star cast for the Ryan Reynolds movie, the delays are a massive concern. While the movie has already halted its production mid-way, it could now get pushed back even further.
At the Upside Down, things are no different either. Season 5 of Stranger Things is officially on a halt. Additionally, the delays may force the creators to make last-minute plot and script changes, which may hamper the expected outcome. While there is no official word on the extent of the strike’s impact, it definitely comes as a headache for Levy. However, things may not stay the same for long as production is expected to resume as soon as the strikes are over, while pre-production may already be in place.
